National health leaders to join urgent care providers in Daventry to explore the future of neighbourhood care
National health leaders and social enterprise healthcare providers will meet in Daventry next week to explore how urgent and integrated care can help deliver more care closer to home.
Urgent Health UK’s annual conference takes place on 13–14 October 2026 at Staverton Park Hotel, Daventry, followed by its annual awards ceremony on the evening of 14 October.
The conference theme, Intelligence. Integration. Inclusion. Building the Next Era of Urgent and Integrated Neighbourhood Care, brings together three connected challenges: making better use of technology and insight, joining up services around patients, and ensuring care reaches those who need it most.
Speakers include NHS England Chief Executive Sir James Mackey, joining virtually, Dr Simon Eccles, Paul Corrigan and Paul Maubach. The programme combines national perspectives with practical case studies and discussion about delivering care in communities.
UHUK is the federating body for social enterprise urgent and integrated care providers. Its members provide services including GP out-of-hours care, urgent treatment centres, NHS 111, clinical assessment, virtual wards and home visiting. As social enterprises, they reinvest surpluses into services and communities.
The conference will consider how this existing capability can support neighbourhood health, improve access and help services respond to rising demand. It will also explore the role of digital technology, population health approaches and partnerships across health, social care and the voluntary sector.
Conor Burke, Chief Executive of UHUK, said: “Our members see every day where patients struggle to get the care they need, and where better connections between services can make a difference. They bring round-the-clock clinical services, local relationships and the ability to respond quickly as needs change.
“This conference is an opportunity to connect that experience with national ambition. We want practical conversations about what it takes to deliver more care in communities — the partnerships, workforce, technology and commissioning arrangements that will help make it happen.”
The UHUK Awards will recognise member projects and initiatives across nine categories, covering clinical and operational safety, digital impact, equity, innovation, patient involvement, workforce and collaboration. Gold, silver and bronze awards will be presented in each category.
Conor added: “The awards recognise the people behind improvements in care. They also give us an opportunity to share ideas and approaches that other services can learn from, helping good work benefit patients beyond the organisation where it began.”
The conference’s Headline VIP Sponsor is OneAdvanced.
